The Main Fields of Application for the SITA science line t60
With the SITA science line t60 the dynamic surface tension of liquids is measured
by using the bubble pressure method. It can be used mobile, however, it is
especially suited as a laboratory instrument in research and development.
The surface age is controlled. The SITA science line t60/2 is significantly advanced
in comparison to the SITA pro line f10. After the measurements have been taken a
graphic display of the readings will appear on the instrument's display. It is
important for the user of the instrument to have some basic knowledge of surface
tension in order to get the most out of its use. The instrument is the best value
for the money in comparison to other bubble pressure tensiometers on the market.
In Online-Mode specific bubble lifetimes (surface age) can be predetermined,
which is desirable when monitoring surfactants or measuring concentrations.
In Auto-Mode the instrument sweeps a range of varying bubble frequencies,
which is profitable for quickly characterizing surfactants ("Fingerprint of Surfactants").
It is not necessary to have a computer in order to operate this instrument.
The measured data, however, can be immediately or continuously transferred
into a computer. The SITA science line t60/2 also offers the possibility of permanently
saving all measured values in the instrument, allowing the information to be
transferred to a computer at a later time. For this purpose the SITA Software
is needed. The SITA science line t60/1 has the same functions, however, when compared
to the SITA science line t60/2 its range of controlled bubble lifetime is less.
